EAQUALS Project Partner

Sabancı University School of Languages (SL) was accepted as the first EAQUALS Project Partner in April 2008. In terms of project work the SL have so far been involved in work undertaken by the following EAQUALS Special Interest Project (SIP) Groups: training academic managers; qualitative research; reviewing can-do descriptors, teacher training.
Since 2010, the School of Languages has been actively involved in the development of the EAQUALS Framework for Language Teacher Training and Development Framework (the TD-FRAM). It has also hosted two of the SIP group's meetings in June 2010 and February 2011. Please click here.

European Profiling Grid (EPG) Project

Sabancı University School of Languagesis a secondary partner in the European Profiling Grid (EPG) Project, a two-year Leonardo da Vinci 'transfer of innovation' project co-funded by the French national agency 2E2F. The Project involves a consortium of 11 European partners led by the Centre International d'Etudes Pédagogiques (CIEP), an EAQUALS Associate Member and where EAQUALS is a key partner: http://www.epg-project.eu/

Exemption Exams from the Foundations Development Year

In accordance with the change in the Instruction Letter of the Higher Education Council regarding Foreign Language Education and Foreign Language Medium Education (Clause 5 RG-28/06/2009-27272) and the decision taken by the SU Academic Council (2009/14) dated 15 July 2009, the following international exams and minimum scores will exempt students from the SU Foundation Development Year:
English / Turkish
